Madison Grego grew up in Mount Sinai, NY, and somehow fit championship cheer, serious science, chamber orchestra, and community work into the same backpack. News 12 named her a Scholar Athlete for a reason: she captains, she studies, she shows up.
She helped lead the Mustangs to county and state titles, then took that same curiosity to Brookhaven National Laboratory to look at ion particle collisions and what they might tell us about the beginning of the universe. Now she is a student-athlete at UMass Amherst, still collecting plot twists.

Before the medals, the lab notebooks, and the UMass move, there is one very important life goal: a Golden Retriever named Rupert. Not just any dog. The dog. Velvet ears, a tennis-ball addiction, and enough sunshine to outshine a Long Island August.
